A Christmas Time Message from George

What a year it’s been at Motive Travel!  In case you missed things, let me give you a recap.

At the start of the year, we called on our fantastic team spirit and managed to win an Australia Day photo competition.

This admirable team spirit carried us through a time of intended change with our proposed merger with the Australian Travel Group.  This merger did not go ahead, reaffirming my commitment to Motive Travel and reassuring my valued staff and clients that it’s business as usual here at Motive.

Our sporting and event tours continue to be immensely popular and I will continue to put forward new tour ideas for major sporting events and unique experiences around the world.  Speaking of sporting events, I managed to attend my 40th consecutive AFL Grand Final!!  I never tire of attending this fantastic event and was really happy to have helped many of our valued clients head over to Melbourne to cheer on their favourite teams.

I am so grateful to be in the position I am in now.  I have a wonderful team of staff, some who have been with me for over twenty years, and a loyal client base, some who have been dealing with Motive Travel for over thirty years!!  I sincerely thank all of you for being part of the Motive Travel family.

I remain grateful to the founder of Motive Travel, our dear friend and colleague, Clive Nelthorpe, who sadly passed away earlier this year.  He is truly missed but his memory lives on with us here.

Our thoughts are with Clive and his family and with all those for whom the festive season may be a difficult period.  As we do every year, we have chosen two organisations to donate our paper greeting card funds to.  These organisations are again Backpacker Medics, to continue their much needed work in Nepal, and the Youth Focus Christmas Appeal, to continue their vital work in helping our youth at risk.

Wishing you and your loved ones a safe and happy festive season and New Year!

Sincerely,

George Michalczyk

and all the staff at Motive Travel
