Important Notice from George

In light of recent travel advice updates following the outbreak of COVID-19, please read the following important notice from George that was emailed to all clients and newsletter subscribers today.

Dear Motive Travel Clients and Subscribers,

A couple of weeks ago, I was ready to email you all with a COVID-19 traveller update but held off as I could see that travel advices were changing daily.  During this time, our office has understandably been swamped with clients wishing to cancel or postpone their travel and we have dedicated all resources to handling these enquiries.

I would like to sincerely thank my staff who have worked tirelessly to reaccommodate or cancel client bookings and, on top of all of this, have willingly reduced their hours to help our office see through this very tough time.

I would also like to sincerely thank all our clients for entrusting your travel plans to us and for your patience as we work through your disrupted plans.

The support of Motive Travel from staff and clients has been very much appreciated and heart-warming to say the least.  Again, thank you.

Motive Travel has been in the travel game for over 45 years, 31 of those years with myself at the helm.  We’ve worked through many challenging times including airline collapses, 9/11, the two Bali bombings and SARS and have managed to survive – as we will again this time by putting appropriate plans and procedures in place.

We ask that once travel restrictions are lifted, to remember your friends here at Motive Travel and to call us to book your travel plans.  For now, if you need any help with local travel, we are here for you.

As advised in previous posts on our website and on social media, remember to check authoritative links for advice on COVID-19, including:

Australian Government Department of Health – https://www.health.gov.au/

Smartraveller – https://www.smartraveller.gov.au/news-and-updates/coronavirus-covid-19

May calm and understanding prevail, may Australians show their true colours in helping the situation and other people.

May this all be over sooner rather than later.

Best regards,

George
